Dear Friends,
After an eye-opening, heartwarming trip to Mongolia last year to Mongol Kids’ Home, we are excited to share that we will be returning this year with ten other members of the KX Seoul community! (For additional background and prayer requests, please see Pastor Sangmin and Emma's page)
This is an excerpt from the testimony given by our daughter Elise after last year’s trip:
“Even if we were there for a short amount of time, I noticed that we are very similar to them. When I was playing with the kids I realized that before I came I thought that the kids would be very different there, but they are like kids in Korea, even playing similar games. The kids there are very bright and are happy with whatever they have.”
There was no question whether our family would return this year, not least because we promised the Mongolians kids and staff that we would be coming back, and we want them to know that God continues to see them and love them. We also remember the faces and smiles of the precious people we met, and we cannot wait to see them again.
We know many of you have hearts to go, but cannot because of work and family commitments. We invite you to participate with us on this trip by supporting us in prayer and financially.
We would be grateful for your prayers for vision, protection, unity, and love. Financially, each member of the trip will invest into a portion of the trip, and the remainng funds raised from participants like you will cover the remaining costs of the trip, including supplies for the home, as well as donations that we will share with the home and our partner church in Mongolia.
On this return trip where we will see the home and the church a second time, we are praying for God to show us a longer-term vision of how we can best participate in the work that God is already doing there.
